Cotton Candy....use as a Dessert or Favor.

Who does not love Cotton Candy? Everytime I see it, I have to grab me some. It always reminds me of when I was a kid and how playful and whimsical cotton candy was. Dessert tables have become very common at weddings, so why not add a fun sweet treat like cotton candy! Today Cotton Candy comes in many flavors and colors to match your wedding decor!

What could be lighter than a pouf of green apple cotton candy flocked with edible pansies?

French toast sticks topped with a beehive of maple cotton candy are a chic treat.

Rose sugar shown here, all hand-spun and comes in vanilla, saffron, chocolate and pistachio flavors! Loving the texture!

Such a sweet send off for your guest!

I’ve started to notice that chandeliers are showing up at weddings a lot lately. The chandelier is a symbol of elegance and glamour, and can be used as a wedding accent to lighten up your reception, creating a romantic atmosphere for your wedding night.

These stunning chandeliers say WOW and so will your guests! You will be amazed at how these super long shiny chandeliers will sparkle and throw light all over the room when the light hits them.

Calling all Brides!

Once you begin planning a wedding, the people you work with -- from vendors to planners to distant relatives who want to stay "in the know" -- begins to quickly add up. You can certainly feel pulled in many directions from the moment you accept your guy's proposal.

The "Busy Bride Calling Card" contains all the information that many vendors (and others) will request from you without you having to wear out your hands or exhaust yourself.
C & G Weddings -- a wedding consulting firm -- know a bride's time is precious and her sanity is even more so. They created these cards for the busy bride to drop in the mail, clip to forms, hand out at expos and potential venues, so her time can be better spent on all those important wedding details that rack up over time.

Picture This!!

I’m sure you’re picturing an elegant, tasteful wedding. But after you’re pronounced husband and wife, maybe you want to let loose.

Yes, some creative photogs are shooting couples wearing their wedding duds in the desert, running through the streets of New York, swimming underwater—doing just about anything that Mom and Dad wouldn’t have dreamed of doing in their formal photos. (Some call these shots “trash the dress” photos, but I don’t like that term, well, because I adore wedding dresses—and they don’t necessarily get “trashed” during these photo shoots.)

Roberto Falck, who runs a boutique photography studio in Brooklyn and specializes in photographing couples underwater. Falck, who is a diver, started shooting underwater a couple of years ago while on location in the Caribbean.

Falck says wedding photography has taken a more “fashion-y” turn in recent years, veering away from the traditional and letting the couple star in their own magazine-style photo shoot.

Other popular locations for Falck to shoot besides underwater include the beach and the city.

The Star Treatment

Marilyn Monroe once said, “Everyone is a star and deserves the right to twinkle.” Of course, far from all of us can afford glitz and glamour, especially with the current economy. But despite the plunging Dow, real brides like you can feel like a star with services like these:

You can dazzle your guests by strutting into your engagement party the way the stars do—down a plush red carpet. Through Red Carpet Runway, you can rent a carpet and logo backdrop that features your and your fiancĂ©’s name, wedding date or whatever else you dream up. The vinyl carpet is easily portable since it can be rolled up, and is even available in hues other than red, including black, blue, green, lime-green, off-white, pink, purple and orange—pick one to match your wedding theme!

Healthy Ingredients for "Gourmet Love"

Food is love. Food is comfort. What Grandma didn’t tell us and probably didn’t know: Food is also sex. Certain consumables can light up your lovemaking. For the record, I’m not talking about the so-called aphrodisiacs that resemble human genitalia, such as oysters and figs. The way a food looks might be visually arousing or psychologically compelling — bonbons and Champagne no doubt conjure up thoughts of seduction and romance.

What you eat can affect your sex life, says Lisa Masterson, M.D., an OB/GYN in private practice in Los Angeles. Make sure to eat foods loaded with what she calls the "sex vitamins"—A, C and E, as well as folic acid, a B vitamin—which act as antioxidants and help to release oxygen into body tissues. When the blood is richer in oxygen, it makes all of your chemical processes work more efficiently, including the process that leads to sexual arousal and lubrication.

Dr. Masterson's list of sexy foods? All fruits and vegetables, but especially pomegranates (which contain vitamins A and C), oranges (vitamin C), carrots (vitamins A and C), and dark-green vegetables, like leafy spinach, which are filled with vitamins A and C, folic acid and calcium.

Dr. Masterson notes that some studies have shown that men lacking a vitamin-rich diet may have a lower sperm count than other men. Her advice? Get him to eat his salad, too! After all, his food choices are just as important as yours.

Shadow Dancing....

The return of the Silhouette. Two hundred years ago, long before the camera was invented, someone wishing to have an inexpensive portrait created of their loved ones would have visited a silhouette artist. Within minutes and using only a pair of scissors and a skillful eye, he would have produced a wonderful little image with a remarkable resemblance to his subject.

Hand-cut paper portraits are ideal for events of all kinds! Corporate parties, Bar and Bat-Mitzvah's, conventions, grand openings, birthday parties, school functions, and fund raisers are just a few. Space requirements are surprisingly simple! All that is needed is a small draped table, two chairs of the same height, and a light (or appropriate ambient light) to work by.

Silhouettes add a traditional and elegant touch to your wedding. A silhouette portrait makes a beautiful keepsake that will remind your guests of your special day for a long time.

Something Sweet - Candy Apple Bar

A candy apple bar brings a touch of old-fashioned charm to any reception. While the grown-ups wax nostalgic, you can watch kids make fun new memories as they concoct their own versions of these time-honored treats. And by using locally grown apples, you get another opportunity to bring a true taste of Vermont to your reception. Think decadent caramel and delicious toppings like butterscotch chips, chopped nuts, and toasted coconut to top off the good times!

TIPS:
- Don't just offer one type of apple, serve up a variety; McIntosh, Cortland, Macoun, Empire, and Red Delicious are all Vermont-grown - and delicious!

- In addition to a "dunking bowl" of caramel for plunging the apples, offer slightly smaller bowls of chocolate, caramel, and white chocolate equipped with spoons for drizzling.

- Supply a basket of plastic or paper bags and ribbon ties for guests who want to take their candy apples home.

- When using twigs as skewers, make sure there are no sharp edges, especially if children will attend the reception.
