Brunch for the Budget-Minded Bride

A surprising number of brides are going for brunch receptions these days. Well, what a great idea! Brides can save money AND put out a tres elegant groaning board of food for guests. Wedding brunches are more economical then dinner receptions and can be either seated or buffet-style affairs.

Here, are a few menu suggestion:

French toast station: Guests can choose toppings and fillings, ranging from fresh fruits to caramel and cinnamon to creams and custards.

Omelet bar, plus an assortment of seafood, meat (including ground beef), an array of vegetables from asparagus and carrots, and a selection of cheeses from around the world.

“Frushi”: rice flavored with coconut milk and topped with various kinds of fresh fruit and served in the same style as sushi.

Champagne bar with your choice of fresh-squeezed orange and grapefruit juices, peach nectar, strawberry nectar and chambord or cassis.
